Helen Howell’s  story, “With Strings Attached”, appears in the new e-zine Dark Edifice. Don’t let the cover throw you, this was supposed to be a July issue which now saw the light of day in April.

Janel Gradowski’s story, “True Love Never Dies”, appeared in the June/July “Jilted Lovers” issue of SNM Horror Magazine. Click here and scroll down to get to her story.

Maria Kelly announced the winners of the “Blood Vengeance” contest from The Were-Traveler. Carrie Clevenger’s “The End is the Beginning” has won first place, and Helen Howell’s “I AM” won second place.

Dan Powell has not one but two stories, “In Media Res” and “This Tornado Love”, in 100RPM, a charity collection of 100 stories of 100 words in length all inspired by songs.

Emma Newman has signed a three book deal with Angry Robot Books. From Emma’s Split Worlds urban fantasy series, the first one, “Between Two Thorns”, will be published in March next year. You can read all about it here.

If you are looking for places to submit flashes to, The Were-Traveler just announced their newest call for submission. The theme is “She-Clowns” and they are looking for Drabbles, Micro, Flash and Short (up to 1500 words). Deadline is August 15th, 2012. They also have other calls for submission still open which you can check out on their website.
