News Flash – Vol.4 #11

August 15, 2012 in Community News, News Flash by Estrella Azul

Well, I might be a day late and a dollar short, but that does not mean there was no good news from the Friday Flash community to share with you. As always, you remain an incredibly diverse and productive group of writers. Great work folks.

One of Tom Gillespie’s short stories has been selected for the charity anthology for Halloween ‘Fear’ to be published by Crooked Cat in October. All proceeds will go to Medicin Sans Frontier and UK Childrens’ charity Barnardos.

Peggy McFarland was accepted for the anthology “A Passion for Weird Tales.” It is due for release in September, so stay tuned for additional details.

Absolutely*Kate Pilarcik and  John Xero have stories included in the Geek Syndicate’s Scrolls Special: A Little Bit of Flash. Kate’s story, ‘Stop This Merry Go Round, I Want To Get Off!’ is a natty, nuanced noir, read by Brenda Kirk while John’s story, ‘Retribution,’ is a post-plague chiller, read by Phil Ambler.

Be sure to read Catherine Russell’s latest post right here on FFDO, “Ink and Electronics.”

Congratulations to all!
