There were 58 stories in the Collector as of press time, including 2 debuts. Please welcome Todd Russell and Neil Leckman to the ranks of FridayFlash. And be sure to check out all the news in the news section below the listing. As always, you are a very productive and successful group.

Just a quick reminder that June 2nd is the deadline for the Best of Friday Flash – Volume Two anthology. Check out the submissions guidelines and be sure to get your story in. Also be sure to share the love by nominating your Reader’s Choice favorite. Just visit the Love Is In the Air post and leave your nomination in the comments. We’ve got lots of great suggestions so far, but I’m sure there are more gems out there.

If you haven’t joined in the fun yet, we have a new gallery up on the Facebook page courtesy of our Facebook Coordinator and reporter extraordinaire, Estrella Azul — My Personal Writing Space. The pics provide a small snapshot (sorry, couldn’t resist) into the lives of some of our favorite writers. I apologize to anyone not on Facebook, we do hope to have a gallery up here at some point.

Thanks again, one and all, for participating and making #FridayFlash a weekly phenomenon. ~jon Continue reading »

Frday Flash BadgeIt’s that time of year. Spring is in the air. The tree sap is flowing. Hormones are raging. This time of year thoughts naturally turn toward Romance. Or Science Fiction. Or maybe a little Slice of Life, or Mystery, or perhaps even a Thriller. Yes it is time to declare your love, nay – your deepest passion, for the Best of Friday Flash Reader’s Choice Award.

The deadline for BOFF 2 is just over a month away. But it won’t be a proper BOFF without a Reader’s Choice Award. Readers are half the equation for Friday Flash. Time for the readers to be heard. We need your input in order to select this year’s nominees.

Just as last year, use the comments section below to nominate a story you found particularly worthy during your Friday Flash roving. Please include the title, the author, a link to the story if possible, and if you could, a comment on why you nominated the story. Did it make you laugh? Cry? Did it haunt you for weeks, or somehow change your perceptions?

Nominations for Reader’s Choice will remain open until May 28th. A poll will go up the week of May 29th and remain open until September 30th. The winner will be announced in the following edition of #fridayflash news and will be published with all due honors in the Best of Friday Flash – Volume Two.

Now go read, go love, and share that love with us all.
