The Collector

[Jump to the Form] – [Jump to Recent Additions]

Welcome! If you are new to Friday Flash, please take a moment to review our Guidelines and Tips. The basic procedure is:

  • Write a piece of flash fiction (generally less than 1000 words)
  • Post your flash fiction on your blog or website
  • Enter the information in the form below

Most of us also tweet our links with the #FridayFlash hashtag and/or post on the group’s Facebook page and/or post on the group’s Google+ page. Feel free to join in. All the recent links will be posted on our home page (usually some time on Saturday), but for your convenience we have recent links listed below this form too. If you enjoy a story leave comments when you visit. (You’ll probably find that you get more comments on your own work when you leave comments for others.)

FFDO Membership: Membership on this FFDO site is never required to participate in #FridayFlash, but we encourage you to join. (Click here to join now.) If you are logged in and your member profile is updated as described on this page most of the required info should be automatically entered in the Collector including your Name, TwitterID, and the Title and Address of your most recent post (on the assumption that that will be your #FridayFlash). If this feature is not working for you, please contact Tim.VanSant.Writes [at] gmail [dot] com for assistance.

    Filling in the Form:

  • Please do not enclose the Title in quotes; it messes with the alphabetizing process when we generate the weekly Report.
  • Make sure the Link is a complete URL to the story (including the http://), not just to your home page.
  • Enter your Name or pen name as you want it to appear with your story.
  • Please do not put the @ in front of your Twitter ID; enter N/A if you don’t participate in Twitter.
  • Select the Genre that most closely matches your story.
  • Let us know if your story is part of a Series or includes a link to audio Narration.
  • If this is your first time submitting to #FridayFlash we want to highlight your Debut entry.
